Matt comes to this career later in life because he realized that something he had been doing informally for years – helping others think through important financial / life decisions – was work that he found both meaningful and rewarding.
For years, Matt has managed the financial complexities of his own family, helped aging parents navigate important decisions, and served as a person friends turned to when they needed a thoughtful, practical perspective.
Born in 1971 from a traditional blue-collar town in Michigan, Matt feels as though he has lived and watched his generation be amongst the first to rely on 401(k) plans rather than pensions. He realizes that changing a lifetime saving mindset to one that now has to focus on turning those savings into retirement income is both a puzzling financial and a deeply emotional decision as well. Matt feels strongly that he and the Wright Wealth team can help with that transition.
Matt’s goal is to combine professional and financial knowledge with perspective and judgement that comes from decades of real-world experience - helping clients understand their choices, make informed decisions with confidence, and create financial strategies that support their goals and the lives and legacies they hope to build.
When not at work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends at the lake in beautiful Western Carolina.
